Anaarsetan: Map of Iran for a book

Anaarestan heist Land der Granatäpfel, das ist der Titel einer Ausstellung mit iranischen Kinderbuchillustrationen und meint den Iran. Und hier ist meine illustrierte Landkarte für den Katalog der Ausstellung.

Anaarestan means Land of the Pomegranate, this is the title of an exhibition about iranian pictur book illustration and means Iran. here is my illustrated map for the catalogue of the exhibition.

Fotos schießen ˜ Photoshooting

Ach, ich mußte gleich mal ein paar spontane Fotos von den Nikkis schießen. Und ich habe 3 super Modells gefunden, oder? Dank an: Mila, Bruno & Lisette.

Ja ok, die zwei Mädchen müssen noch in die Größe der Nikkis reinwachsen. Aber seht mal wie toll die Farbe der Schuhe mit der Illu zusammenpassen - oder die Hosen des Jungen erst!

Und falls jemand weiß, wieso Blogspot die Farben und Schärfe verschlimmbessert, freue ich mich über einen Tip.

Neue Nikkis für Kinder ˜ New T-Shirts for Kids



Hehe - die neuen Nikkis für KLAX-Grundschule sind fertig. Die 2 Figuren kommen auch gut mit Sonderfarben, obwohl erst ein 4farb-Druck geplant war.
Hehe - the new t-shirts for the Klax-shools are out. The silkscreen company did quite a good job.

Gernelerner & Entdecker

Zwei Figuren für Tshirts für Vorschulkinder. Das Ganze war wie hier zu sehen als 4-Farbsiebdruck gedacht, nobel, nobel. Leider wäre es dann doch zu teuer geworden, und ich habe die Figuren noch einmal mit Handauszügen für den Textilsiebdruck gemacht. Na mal sehen.


Two characters for little kids. First it was intended to be printed as 4-color silksreen print. But finally it would have been to expensive, so I had to make it all new, each color separat as normaly done for silkscreen stuff. Lets see how that will come out.

BERLIN IM QUATRAT

Ende 2006 erschienen 12 ganzseitige Illustrationen der neuen Berliner Stadtbezirke in einem Sonderheft der Berliner Zeitung. Hier als Beispiel der Stadtbezirk Friedrichshain:


Ich hatte die Idee die Stadtbezirke quatratisch zu machen - so war es möglich die Illustrationen so anzulegen, daß man alle zu einer großen Karte zusammenbauen konnte.
I illustrated the 12 Berlin districts for the Newspaper Berliner Zeitung. Each drawing of a district covered an entire page. These illustrations are made in a square shape, so that clever people could connect the 12 illustrations into a huge map of Berlin.


Zu meiner Freude hörte ich auch von einigen Lesern der Berliner Zeitung, die spontan alle 12 Seiten zusammengesetzt hatten, ohne das es einen Hinweis dieser Möglichkeit in der Zeitung gab.
I was told, that people did form a big map as intended, even if there was no hint in the newspaper to do so. Finally I added a legend and made a huge map out of the 12 parts of Berlin with a legend as seen below.
