Ich habe diese Ausstellung für den Verein Hammeraue e.V. - Verein für illustrations- & Zeichenkunst in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kinderbuchrat Iran in Teheran kuratiert.
I have curated this international exhibition in close cooperation with the Children's Book Council of Iran, Teheran.

Ich illustriere jeden Monat ein Rätsel zum Thema Musik, Buch, Theater oder Film. Diesmal zum Thema Buch. Die Auflösung des Rätsels: »Die Falschmümzer« - ein Roman von Adré Gide.
That's an illustrated riddle I do very month for Das Magazin. The solution this time: a novel by André Gide »The counter fighters«. Pleas mind that's always a play with words in German - and we say something like false-money-makers - almost the same as the French original title: Les faux-monnayeurs.

He, die Illustrationen zu meinem neuen Buch »Sonnige Grüße aus Ziffernhausen« sind zur Kinderbuchmesse in Bologna 2014 ausgewählt worden. Ach und sogar noch bevor das Buch überhaupt erschienen ist. 

The  illustrations of my new book where selected for the 2014 Bologna childrens book fair - hehe. Even bevor the book is published.

Bologna ist eine tolle, charmate Stadt - und die Atmosphäre ist noch besser, wenn all die Illustratoren in der Stadt sind. Mein Lieblingsort in der Stadt: Auf dem Dach des Torre Assinelli.

Bologna ist such nice and charming city and has a great athmosphere when all the artists are in town. My favored place: On top of Tore Assinelli.

 

Allerdings war der Flug da hin gefährlich - zu viele hustende Leute:

Anaarestan heist Land der Granatäpfel, das ist der Titel einer Ausstellung mit iranischen Kinderbuchillustrationen und meint den Iran. Und hier ist meine illustrierte Landkarte für den Katalog der Ausstellung.

Anaarestan means Land of the Pomegranate, this is the title of an exhibition about iranian pictur book illustration and means Iran. here is my illustrated map for the catalogue of the exhibition.

The Illustrations of my hopefully soon coming book where selected for the Illustration Bienale Ilustrarte 2014 in Lissbon.

Die Ausstellung hat ein geniales Ausstellungssystem und es gibt viele tolle Illustrationen zu sehen.

There was a super cool presentation of the artwork and a lot of very good illustrations selected.

Und Lissabon ist supercharmat - eine tolle Stadt.
Lissbon is such a loveley city.

Riesografie-Drucke für »KamaZootra« Kalender 2014

Risography print for »KanaZootra« calendar 2014

Hier ist eine von zwei Illustrationen die ich für den »KamaZootra« Kalender 2014 der Edition Hammeraue gezeichnet habe. Ich wollte schon lang die Risografie-Technik probieren. Endlich! :--)

Die beiden hübschen Kakerlaken konnten mit den anderen Illustrationen der anderen Monate gemischt werden. Mehr zum Projekt hier.

This one of two illustrations I did for the 2014 calendar of Edition Hammeraue, Berlin. I am quit happy to finally have tried the Risography print. Cool thing. The cute two cockroaches can be mixed with parts of illustrations from other months/illustrators. This calendar is fun.

Ein Austausch von jeweils 53 Künstlern aus Denver, USA und Berlin, BRD. Jeder hatte seinem Partner in der anderen Stadt eine Frage zu stellen und auf die erhaltene Frage ein Bild anzufangen und in die Partnerstadt schicken. Alle Fragen sollten mit »What if...« beginnen. Später kam ein Angefangenes Bild aus der anderen Stadt zurück.
An exchange of 53 artist from Denver , USA and Berlin, Germany. Each artist had to send to his partner a question starting with: »What if...?« and than use this as starting point for his work. That work of each was send to the partner to finish the work.

Teil 1: Ich bekam die Frage: »What if nothing?« Und das ist meine Arbeit die zu meinen Partner Dan Fodness in Denver ging.
Part 1: I got the question: »What if nothing?« And this is my work which went to my artist parner Don Fodness to Denver.

Und was er gemacht hat, kommt sicher bald hierher, oder ihr geht nach Denver und seht es euch selbst an.

February 2013: riddle with the topic POP: Theo, lets drive to Łotz. Thats a German song talking of a Polish city which was a biug hit by the Greek singer Vicky Leandros - you wont know this one. But there where versions of this song for the USofA Henry, Let’s Go to Town), for UK Danny, Teach Me to Dance and the french Version was Théo, on va au bal.

Anaarestan heißt Granatapfelland auf Farsi der Sprache des Iran und zeigt die neuesten Früchte auf dem Feld der iranischen Kinderbuch-Illustration.

Eröffnung: Frau Dr. Raabe, Direktorin der IJB

Mit einem Vortrag zu aktuellen Situation in der iranischen Kinderbuchillustration und natürlich mit frischen Granatäpfeln.

Anaarestan has the meaning Land of the pomegranate in the Persian language. So the exhibition will show new fruits in the field of iranian childrens illustration. After the opening speach of Miss Dr. Raabe, director of IYL, therewill be a talk about contemporary iranian illustration as well.
